I remember when i was a younger Christian hearing a song called bull frogs and butterflies they both been born again. What is born again? It lines up with some of the outlines of the theme saved by grace and not of the will of the individual. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.  Ephesians 2:8-9

john 1:13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. So just how much say or participation do we have in the process? I have been studying a bit lately about salvation, how to get it, how it starts from the seed of Gods word and the kinds of hearts that the seed will grow in and actually remain and produce fruit. Then there is the scripture that talks about the rocky ground where it is received with joy but doesn’t last and then there is the seed that fell  on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart Luke 8:15 who hear the word, retain it and through persevering produce a crop.

What about he who began a work in you will bring it to completion? did he not begin a good work in the rocky heart or does it only work in good and noble people? Does it even relate to salvation?
